There was a car club in Reading, based near Cementery Junction, until 7 January 2008, operated by City Car Club. The company withdrew the service to concentrate on expanding its business in large cities. However, Carplus is intending to re-establish a car club in Reading, as part of a new national network of clubs. The provisional launch date for the new club is Saturday 10th May 2008.
If you are interested in joining the re-established car club in central Reading, or would like to join a car club in wider Reading and environs please complete the short Carplus survey. Alternatively, watch for further details about the new company, Commonwheels CIC, which will be operating the Reading car club.
Commonwheels also intends to establish car clubs in High Wycombe, Portsmouth, Poole, Swindon, Preston and Bournemouth during the course of 2008.
